A pressure test kit cost about £200. I made my own by using the pressure cap from a Carlton to which I fitted a tyre valve. I use a bicycle pump to pressurise the system.

I did the same thing after replacing the HBV and still had a leak used the above method and found the leak it was a pipe that went to the water bridge between the heads at the back under the scuttle.

All sorted now ....just an MOT to get through next month. ::)

Hi everyone,I first want to say what a brilliant website and so many helpful guys on here.
2nd thing is, I want to thank a guy in a Black Omega who stopped on the slip road at Jct 9 at Tewkesbury to see if I was alright.
I run a classic Mini or 2 and have only experienced helpful people (apart from some of the young drivers who have never seen a spanner in there lives) but its a first to see a fellow Omega owner actually stop to see if they can help  :y

Anyway I thank him who ever he was.
