Hi everyone, havent picked it up yet but am getting a "w" reg silver 2 litre auto. Strangely it will be one of the newest cars ive ever owned!! Never really had a desire to own a new car, and having had loads of omegas and carltons before that, i just know im going to be happy with my "new" motor. Have had a mixture of yank stuff and more recently a couple of Lexus/toyota soarers, which in profile look quite like a shortened omega? Any how hi, ile be posting on here quite regularly, cos thats what i do!! :)

Ive noticed elsewhere on this forum that someone has stuck a Lexus/toyota 6 cyl lump in an omega, so its probably feasible to stick the 32v 4.0 litre lexus lump in, cos at the moment they are cheap as chips, and a reliable 260 bhp! :D

May as well come straight out with the question--ive had a quick glance to see if its been asked recently and cant see it so---how easy/difficult is it to stick a chevy lump in the omega, im thinking there must be parts that you can buy cos its done in Australia. 8-)

Only hocus pocus i know is to run a weld round the inside of the old bearing and when its cool it should drop out, and then gently persuade the new bearing in with a thump!!

I always use my left foot for braking on my autos, always have, not advisable to do if you are new to autos though!! Who would have a manual?? No comparison imho, whats to like about an achin left leg after a trip. Manuals ok for circuit racing and thats about it. ;)
