Omega Electrical and Audio Help / does the engine turn over if the imobiliser is on

I changed my fob battery , central locking works ok , car turns over but won't start , don't know if the car would turn over if the fob wasn't talking to the car . The light on dash dnt indicate a fault , not sure any help welcomed . ps, tried the sync key but it didn't lock n unlock , help
