Could someone please tell me if non-projector and projector headlamp shell are the same (pre-facelift) ?  I bought a pair of projector headlamp units from a member, and in transit to me, the height adjuster motor has broken off where it pushes into the shell, allowing the bulb assembly to float free, breaking its hinges. I'm asking as I use my car every day, so don't fancy removing its good but yellowed existing headlamp only to find its a no go.

Many thanks

Hi - Just curious but why higher temperature on pre-facelifts (which I have), and if beneficial, what needs to be done to get the fans on sooner.
Thanks

Hi - My '94 CD needs better lights. Does the 'Osram Nightbreakers solution'  go for this, as a neighbour with a '95 CDX has changed his complete units for ones that seem to have normal bulbs in one section, and what look like spotlights in the other half. Any ideas ?  I appreciate any comments. Thankyou

Omega General Help / Re: V6 EGR - Can it be left off.

@ Jimbob

Thanks for that - I've just fitted the EGR back with Blanking Plate and new gasket, tried it up the road, stopped then restarted it a couple of times, and engine tickover now dead on 500 rpm, no lumpiness, no EML.
Result is one very happy man, and I appreciate your help.  :) :) :)

Omega General Help / V6 EGR - Can it be left off.
« on: 25 June 2010, 14:01:11 »
Hi, I've got a '94 2.5 V6 Omega, complete with an occasional lumpy tick-over  :-[  I intend fitting the 1.6/1.8 EGR blanking plate, and a new gasket (have checked it is the right size), and wondered if

(a) I can unplug and remove the EGR assembly complete, or

(b) Refit the EGR assembly, without altering the solid blanking plate, or

(c) Drill a hole in the solid blanking plate to enable the valve in the EGR assembly to physically move (so as to provide feedback to the ECU).

I've checked the Common Issues/FAQ,s and Maintenance Guides and cannot find the answer - if I've missed it, then I apologise.

Many thanks in advance for any advice offered.
