Omega General Help / Re: Exhaust Manifold Part Number ???
« on: 12 March 2010, 20:48:44 »
Have been to Vauxhall in Knebworth Herts today and bought a new Manifold and gaskets. Asked the parts guy about my confusion re: part numbers, hes said he didn't know the number GM 90400248 and said i needed GM 24420438. Have got the Manifold home and the label on the packaging says GM 24420438 but the actual manifold has GM 90400248 stamped on it.......... so I'm none the wiser!!

Yes Vauxhall in St Albans told me this on Friday and wanted to charge me £470 for the exhaust......... had one put on this morning for half that.

Have a standard Vx air filter, new only a few months ago.

The same dealership have told me that it is likely to be my Throttle body and have Quoted me £600+ to do this......  :-/

Omega General Help / Code P1555 Help please..............
« on: 27 February 2010, 16:53:43 »
Have had my car into Vauxhall this week and was advised that i needed a new exhaust before they could diagnose the problem fully. My car runs very lumpy with erratic idling and the revs going all over the place. Have now placed a new exhaust on my car.

The erratic idling and general rough, lumpy acceleration is cured when i remove the plug from the air flow meter but returns as soon as i plug it back in. Could anyone tell me why this is and what the the fault might be with my car as i have very little faith in my local dealership.  :-/

No, runs rough from cold and stalls until warm but then runs as if it were missing, revs drop without any movement of the pedal............ if that means anything to you?

Omega General Help / Fault Code......... Do i repair or scrap??
« on: 20 February 2010, 09:50:54 »
I have three fault codes that have come up on my 2002 2.2 CD.........

P1130 02 sensor circuit high voltage (Bank 1 sensor 1) C-30

P0170 Rich / Lean Exhaust C- 30

P1555 Throttle position sensor (TPS) load signal not plausible with engine load C-09

I have been told by my local garage that code P1555 will cause codes P1070 & P1130 to appear and to fix the problem they are quoting me £600 +.

Any guidance or information on this would be much appreciated as i have not got a clue what all this means  :-/

Cheers, Mick

P1130  02 sensor malfuntion, bank 1, sensor 1
P0170  Fuel correction malfunction
