General Car Chat / HELP needed on a 2.5 v6 omega on a N plate

can any off you chaps help me i got a N reg omega 2.5 v6 and it been givin me jit the past week, it start but as soon as i put the car in D it conk out. I've been told it's the fuel pump so i changed that but know the car won't turn over
