I've used four pop-rivets...approx 3mm diameter or
4 smallish allen-key type tools.

Double din removal tools are fine, until the bulges at the tips of the prongs wear down, then they just slip out for fun.

Good quality removal tools in good condition.

Once you get it started,
Use a plastic spatula from a body filler kit to ease out the facia...this way you wont damage it, like you would with a metal screwdriver or similar.

Im a soon to be Omega owner, as i fancied a change after 5 years with the Cavalier, and i have always loved Omega's

Yep recognise you too,

Nice to be amongst friends old and new...

I quite fancy an Omega myself, but just can't afford one just yet...
still paying off the wife's vectra-c that I bought her for christmas 2005 and her expensive holidays to the indian ocean!! :'(

Besides, my Cav 3 is still going reasonably well 213,000miles and 14 years later, after I bought it her for christmas 1995

Many thanks for all your warm welcome messages.

regards,
Rob.

Hi All,
Just a quick hello to introduce myself and to sort of apologise for being only being a "tenuous" Omega Owner.

I am a member on most other Vauxhall forums, especially Vectra-C.com and CavMk3OC...as these relate to the cars that me and her indooors own.

She has a Vectra-C 2005 1.9CDTi Energy with a few interior and Infotainment upgrades - including CD70 sat nav.

My car is a long suffering Cavalier Mk3 1.8 LSi with CFi.
This is where my tenuous link comes in...
My Cavalier has several interior mods including
From Omega B -
One touch Sunroof with delay bug-eye map lights, and blue LED illumination conversion.
Omega Variable intermittent wipers.

From Astra Mk2 GTE Digi-Dash conversion.

From Cavalier GSi / Callibra
Interior illuminated grab handles and vanity mirrors.
Front fog lights
Fuel / Trip Computer

From Vectra-C
CD70 Sat Nav with Monochrome Graphic Info Display

It is the CD70 full can radio fitment into my lowly Cavalier that appears to have caused a lot of forum interest, especially among the Half-Can vehicle owners...
Those being Pre October 2004 Vectra-C and Signums,
Corsa C and also potential for Omega B.

I'm not dead clever or owt, but having access to TIS wiring Diagrams does give me a lot of help and information.

Hope I can be of help, although I'm not "really" an Omega owner :-X
