Omega General Help / Re: Brake Bleading question?
« on: 05 January 2011, 11:49:20 »
When the pedal is pumped a few times and then held down it builds up a bit of pressure.  Loosening the nipple releaces the pressure forcing the air and some fluid out.  Even though the pedals pressed its at the end of its travel so the pressure is relieved.  Tighten the nipple and repeat the process till theres no air left coming out.

There's a guy over on VVOC trying to get a group buy organised for vec v6 tubulars.  You could ask him about the possibility of getting an omega one off the ground.  Would imagine the jigs etc will be easier for an omega set-up.

Starting to sound expensive  :'(

Yes and they are specific springs only available from GM or KYB. Standard springs or Ebay specials aren't the same.

Are they available on TC?

Ah...ok.  Must be faulty then, further investigation required.  Is it common for these to fail?

Cheers.

Does the saloon have self leveling or is it only the estate?  My old boys saloon(98 elite) sits helluva low at the back.  If not, is it possible/worth it to retrofit?

Cheers.

Did they have the part in stock?...if its a part they dont hold/had to order in may be why they wont accept it back.  Had the same with a thermostat/housing when i ordered one for my vec...had to pay upfront aswell.
