I paid £80 including Labour to have the circuit board fixed...
it all works fine now and garanteed for a year....

my problem does sound a lot like yours so might be worth getting an Electrical garage to take a look..

let me know how you get on!

Hi Billy....
had exactly the same thing about 4 weeks ago! check out my recent postings on here....
had the same fuse issue... although mine didn't blow new ones when i replaced it!
i even bought a replacement panel from a breakers (100 quid!!) and that didn't fix it...
in the end i bit the bullet and took it to a local Auto Electrical specialist (who came highly recommended).
it turned out to be a blown circuit board... they repaired it and refit and all is fine now...

think you might need to do the same mate!!

Gord.

Guys.... just to keep you informed as i am sure most of you have had sleepless nights worrying about it.. my panel is fixed..
had to take it to the local Auto Electrix garage (who are very good) they had to sort out the connections and make good as there was a break!

thanks for all your suggestions on this post and the last one!!

that said i now have a spare Air Con / Heater Control Panel (for a face lift) fresh from the breakers with a 6 month warantee if you know anyone who is after one or if the buttons on yours are worn and fancy a change give me a shout!!!

thanks again guys..... ;)

Hi guys. Some of you may have read from my last post I am having problems with my Control Panel for the Climate control - heating in my W-reg face lift 2.5Elite. the panel is totally dead.
so far i have changed the fuse- no difference.
bought a new panel from a breaker, replaced it still no differnce.

the panel is totally dead...

if anyone can shed any more light or ideas it would be a great help.
also has anyone a link to a wiring diagram? my friend at work has advised changing relays.

Hi Guys, I have a W reg face lift 2.5v6 elite.
over the weekend the panel of controls and display for the climate control and fans etc just stopped working, no life in the panel at all.. so i can't even turn the fans on. every thing else electrical seems fine...
has anyone else had this... ? is it likely to be a fuse or do you think I need to start e-baying my kidneys?

until then i will have to pretend i am driving a 1980 SD1 with a 3.5 V8 in it!!!!!! 8-)

Omega General Help / Noisy Cats!!!!

Hi Guy's..... :y
I have just had to have both Cats replaced on my 2.5V6....(long story)
they sounds really noisy..... i took it back to the Exhaust place about 5 days after the work was done and they said this was ok. they told me they will take a little while (aprox 2000miles) to get some carbon through them and then they will quieten down.

I know about as much about this sort of thing as Phill Tufnell knows about loans according to the TV Ad   :-/....are they telling me a load of old pony or are they right.....???
