Well after stripping down my engine i discovered the loud knocking was a con rod bearing run out probs due to no oil so i can

1) put a whole set of bearings on it,
2)just put one bearing on it
3)scrap it and just get a second hand bottom end.

your thoughts?

I got it on running the cams in atm few things to fix, check and tidy up. but could do with having you put it on the computer to check as eml is on. prob with immobliseras well i think but im just gona put a switch on it for the time being as a live to the starter gets it going.

re: boot spoiler i promised it to my mate ages ago so i will check if he still want it or not. If not then you can take it ns.

questions are about the water pipes,

the one from the stainless pipe at the back of the block goes to?

the one from the bridge in the head (were water temp sensor is) goes to?

i have tried it by the book its a flanged bottom tensioner so i have put it on anti clockwise still a mile out. clockwise is the same wont strech to get on 4th cam wheel,

closest i have got is putting it on everything except the top tensioner(not spring one), ajusted the cam wheels independently to take up the slack while still keeping them in alignment and trying to push the top tensioner down even then i still need bout an eighth of an inch more belt?

Im having trouble getting my timing belt on it seems about an eighth too short,  all belts are 225 teeth long i have the smaller idlers too (56mm)

The heads are off a block with the lower tensioner higher up the block than the new block which has the tensioner right beside the crank pulley.

any ideas?
