as my car was off the road and the insurance was due and tax and mot, i decided not to renew any until it was up and running, i rented a lockup garage just around the corner from my local housing authority and put the car in itabout 3 months ago, to my horror this morning i went round to check it and the garage four doors down from mine was completely burnt out, with the shell of a what looked like a peugot inside, Thinking i had got away scot free i opened my garage door only to find my car which was once silver was now a tarry black mess i had left the drivers window down and the interior is wrecked, my question is would i have any recompense off the owner of the car which caused the fire as i stated mine was not insured.
I had the same problem, fitted after market spring assistors, what a waste of money they were so i just removed the jockey wheel and put it in the boot till we got to the camp site and put it back on, Problem solved.
If i were to buy a used ECU and a wiring loom for my omega, could i just put them on and start the car or would i have to Have the ecu reprogrammed to my car. :-/
I recently had to tow my 2.0 litre omega auto and was advised by auto gearbox specialist that i could tow my car at a maximum speed of 20 mph for a distance of no more than five miles without disconnecting the prop, we followed these instructions and the gearbox was fine.
Tried Taking the cat of to see if it was blocked and car runs same, If i disconect the Egr valve, The MAF sensor and the sensor at the bottom of the throttle pot the cars is just the same it dosent stop or accelerate, It just ticks over at 700 rpm rocksteady, if you try to accelerate it cuts out now, so ive just put it on ebay, Once its gone i no longer have a problem, SimPles
