Does this apply to the newer mig's?

I had a quick look in the fuse box but not much information on the lid.

Any help as i don't have a Haynes

Omega General Help / Re: rear suspension

I have broken rear springs too  :( i only found out after my mechanic took the rear wheels off to replace the rear pads.

I was thinking of a lowering kit but i couldn't find any that lower the car less than 40mm which i think is too low (not unless someone knows a make that lower by 20mm). Might look at the Blistein's (thanks mathew).

Also i have leaky rear shocks too  :-/ which i havn't had a quote for yet.

Oh and i need 4 new tyres. I brought Pirelli P Zeros when i got the car and they have worn pretty quick, a couple of people have told me they are quite soft so am looking for a harder set for next time.

Hi everyone and thanks for the welcomes  :)  :y

Thanks for the reply Pete, i have deceided not to go down the lowering route, i think it would spoil the look of the car and the kit would lower it by 40mm which (and forgive me for being too old  :-/) i think might look too boy racerish.

Hi all,

I had a look around this forum a bit before i joined, you all seem a great bunch of guys, and i enjoyed looking at all the photo's.  :)

My name is Paul and live on the south coast of Hampshire.
I have owned my Omega for 18 months and thought it was about time to join some owners clubs.
I have an '02 plated 2.6 Elite in blue, completley standard which is the way i like to keep my cars, even though i had fitted the 3.0 back box a few months ago, looks better with the twin pipes and has given it a deeper note, also my mechanic is trying to talk me into getting it lowered as i need new rear springs, so not sure which way to go with that one. Any thoughts?

Ok i have waffled enough. I will post some pics soon.

Thanks for the postive comments  ;D  :y

I love this colour and it really sets the car off. It took me months to find the right one, just a shame it doesn't have leather interior.
Beautiful colour - looks fantastic  :o. Do you use anything special on it to keep the swirls at bay. I'm a  bit of a detailing saddo  :-? and colours like this stay looking great with the right routine  :y
The light is fine - honest.

Cheers
Ian

Thanks Ian  :y

To be honest i get it cleaned by my local valeter nearly every week, and i get him to wax it every few washes. We moved to a flat last year so i have nowhere to clean it, which is good in a way cos i used to spend all day Sunday on it  ;D

I did clean the wheels a couple of weekends ago myself and i know someone with a hose that lives round the corner from me so i will get the wax out myself this summer  ;)

I am a detailing freak too, even the inside of the wheels are clean :-/  :D and because we live on the sea front i am in constant battle with salt water if it is windy or seagull poo when its sunny  :-/
