Bit late coming in on this, but I felt I ought to give James a bit of glory....he has done the belts and other jobs on my various Omega's over the years, and without his knowledge, the Omega would have long been in my motoring past. However, I am still clinging to one, and hopefully James' new venture will do well for him (and us !!) :y :y

Sorry to bump this up, but a quick question in response to Al's (DG) statement...half hour job....regarding the 'unclip the sill', I assume its possible to just unclip the front bit and not take the whole thing off. So again, I assume it can be prised off with a screwdriver. Just don't want to break anything :y :y

Given the replacement wing a good flatting and a couple of coats of primer filler., ready to base coat and clear coat the 'hidden' parts prior to fitting. Have to do it this way, and spray the main wing on the car, as I have no way of suspending it , to spray off car.
Mind you, got to get the old wing off first ;D

I recently bought a fold up clothes rail for hanging panels/ parts for spraying. I do it outside as its a faff sheeting everything up to avoid overspray on my other cars in the garage. It a single rail with four angled legs. It's ideal for single panels and parts. Just choose your day, hang them up and spray. When you've done, its simple enough for two to move it into the garage to harden. It's easy to store in its folded state.

Thanks for that JD....given me some food for thought :y

The shower of rain earlier that deposited a fresh patina of Sahara dust all over my car after I washed it yesterday. Sigh.  ::)

It's good for the garden though I guess.  :)

I'm with you on that one. Even my son in law commented that the car looked mint !! Now ,like yours, it's covered in desert!!!

Neighbours tree, dropping all its crap over the Omega. Roll on the autumn when the leaves have dropped, and my mate, a tree surgeon, is coming to cut it back to the property line. In the meantime, the car is under a car cover. >:( >:(
