« on: 22 September 2016, 06:54:43 »
Shes binned the old fob, if i get a reader that comes with the new lock set, couldn't it be re programmed as though it had a new battery fitted to th fob, some are easier than others wife's Passat is quite simple. Its frustrating when electronics is all thats stopping it starting, I put in a Corsa D barrel I had lying around fits fine but nothing to read

Probably been asked before, and there not going to end up in an Omega or any modern car

Punk was a product of its time, driven by politics and economy, we will never see the like of it again.
Music nowadays is driven by the performers appearance, fashion & media. I can remember when Take That apparently were the first British band to have 3 records go straight in at No 1, sorry that honour goes to The Jam. I'm not saying Iron Maiden are followers of fashion just not my bag, only rock artist I really liked was Meat Loaf just so different to every thing else.       All this fom buying a cheap car eh

Oh yes still listen to The Jam, The Specials, Bad Manners, The Selector, The Beat & of course Madness & the Pistols,  Still stuck very firmly in the 70s & early 80s and going nowhere soon.
Building a plastic car though still stems back to the early 70s when my Dads mate came round driving a new Scimitar fell in love with the noise, mine will be much louder & faster

And Iron Maiden's the latest in fashion. Think somehow were both still stuck in the 70s & 80s !

when its done, that sounds familiar, my Scimitar is a bit like that my eldest lad had a couple of mates round the other day, well the engine and gear box are in it'll be on the road in six months wont it?
I don't have a time scale for it just when every thing is 101% it will be done,
i'm not doing it the easy way and dropping in the engine and connecting it to the standard loom, that was shit when they built it in 69 I'm using the entire Omega loom cut the fuel pump mount form the plastick tank an am letting it into the stainless one I have. Have you ever seen an Omega loom out of the car, bloody huge my workshops 7.5 mtrs long its hanging down both sides with loops in it !!
the Omega is being stripped of every thing I can use. ease of maintenance in the future its going to be used every day.
