Ignition barrel, hmnn!
I don't think that's the fault on mine, just because as soon as I disconnected and reconnected the battery it all worked fine again. Not to mention the 5-6 times I tried the ignition while the motor was running
It was was a worrying situation though, admittedly my first thought at the time was fuel pump, mainly because I've been having problems with that on my Pug 406 but it was *very* noisy!
