« on: 30 January 2011, 21:48:44 »
Thanks for that, I have already ordered the DVD earlier yesterday, so should get it Wednesday or Thursday, the tool kit, is it a main dealer supply only :question does anyone know of any mobile mechanics that would do the timing for us :question and does anyone know roughly how much it would cost :question

I only ask as i have recently found out I have all the systoms of brain tumour & have had urgent appointments to go to at the hospital and still have to go to, and with the car being off the road I am struggling to say the least, and I need to get it done asap :( .

Omega General Help / Timing tensioner query??
« on: 30 January 2011, 06:28:51 »
Hi everyone, were in the middle of changing the timing belt, now in the haynes manual it states to look for the letter "D" on an original tensioner or "E" if it's a modified tensioner, now my question to everyone is what would happen and which direction would the belt go if it states "01" :question :question  [smiley=undecided.gif] [smiley=rolleyes.gif]there is no letter at all, it just states "01" where the letter should be, it was on the vehicle when we bought it, any thoughts or help would be most welcome, Thank you very much in advance :y

I have just done the paperclip test without the engine running & with it running and it has only come up with 1 fault code :

Fault code 13 = O2 Sensor 1 Open Circiut

what ever that means :question.  Does this make sense to anyone along with the other problems i am having :question

I have the similar problem,  On Thursday my car started running funny/running rough/juddering, then overheated majorily, (very little water in tank) :-[, very smoky (it looked white, but it was dark), filled the oil up (didn't need filling alot it was in between min & max) & filled the water up(nearly empty), it was still smoky and overheating (on acceleratin the smoke disappeared more or less until we had to slow down at a junction or lights then speed up again then the smoke would kinda disappear again til we had to slow down), heater stopped working, managed to get it home, left it over night (it was very late) and looked at it yesterday and it is still smoky, greyey (idoling).pale bluey/tinge of blue (on acceleration), their is no oil in water, it doesn't look like water in oil (just seems thin) no "mayo" on dipstick but mayo in the filler pipe, & still running rough, your thoughts would be most appreciated :y

I have a T reg 1999 Omega 3L MV6 Auto :y

Hi Tk, you would be better to create your own post, things get confusing when there are multiple queries from different members in the same post.  :y

Thanks for letting me know :y

Hi All

This is my 1st Omega, it is 1999 3.0L MV6 Automatic, it's a dream to drive, but I am finding it quite hard to find an owners manual for it, :( I have all the other bits in the grey wallet,  radio, service centres etc i just haven't got the Omega drivers manual, I would be extremely greatful if someone knows of somewhere i can get hold of one. :)

Hi, i am looking for the following:

front electric with memory seats in leather but has to have the airbags, do you have any? if so how much?

What year is it? does it have the electric sunblind built in the parcel shelf? again if so how much?

Does it have cruise control? if so how much?

I have what appears to be a mini-facelift omega MV6 3L, I have the window switches at the side of the gear lever but I have airbags in my front seats and i have the audio controls on the steering wheel, am I right this would be a mini- facelift? oh I forgot to mention it's a T reg 1999

Also can anyone tell me what switch goes on the 2nd from the left???? would it be for the electric sunblind? sorry for all the questions, typical female,  :) :)
