Well i did think this and that was 2 dealers that told me this.
I changed the batteries in it last year and it has just started bleeping again, but as it only has 4 wires connecting it, i can't see how the ecu can read any information from it.

As above, I phoned Vauxhall for a new powersounder and they told me that it would have to be programmed in, otherwise the car will not recognise it.

Is this true or are they trying to get more money out of me. :-?

Omega General Help / Glove box opening damper
« on: 25 January 2011, 17:53:09 »
I'm fairly sure my glove box used to open gently, but now it just drops open and bounces, as anyone had this problem and know a fix, or am i imagining it had a damper in the first place.

Thanks for all the replies, I will give the throttle body and pipes a clean as the butterfly valve could be sticking when very hot. I will let you know the result soon. :y

My mistake, the code is P1555, which is more confusing as it's not even on the list on here.  The cat is new.

Omega General Help / P0155 & P0170 fault codes
« on: 17 October 2010, 15:31:59 »
I keep getting 2 fault codes coming up when i drive far, say over 50 miles:( :

P0155 O2 sensor heater circuit malfunction (Bank 2 Sensor 1)

P0170 Fuel trim malfunction (Bank 1)

Can anyone tell me which sensor this would be, as i have one either side of the cat, and would this cause the fuel trim malfunction. Or could it be something else that would cause this error to crop up.

« on: 03 October 2010, 13:51:00 »
I am thinking of getting a diagnostic reader
 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VAUXHALL-OPEL-DIAGNOSTIC-SCANTOOL-FAULT-CODE-READER-PC-/360252507714?pt=UK_Diagnostic_Tools_Equipment&hash=item53e0b90642
and was wondering if anybody has tried one with windows vista or is there something better on the market.
