It is a 3.2 petrol engine.  The noise only happens when the engine is hot.  The engine model number is Y32 SE.

I have a 2002 Vauxhall Omega Elite.  A salvaged engine has just been put in, fine for about 3 weeks then started to make an awful rattling sound as if it was about to blow up.
The management light stays on, and my mechanic has had it diagnostically tested about 4 times and apparrently it is
not electrical.  Some suggested it might be the hydraulic airlifters.  Please help.
