That's my concern! The starter motor was just replaced last week!!

Thanks for all the advices.

We managed to rule out the gearbox selector substituting its relay with a direct connection.
I have been waiting to do the non crancking stuff again to be able to test what if I direct feed it, but this bastard find a new way to poke fun at me.
Today after 7kms driving we stopped for an hour. When I tried to start, the starter motor was running free and it kept doing this even when I removed the ignition key!
Then I unplugged the battery to stop it, but it was still turning (only the starter motor like a hair dryer, it didn't drive the engine!). After some round of battery disconnect-waiting-reconnect, it stopped then crancked okay.

I think ther will be something sticking around the bendix or whatever its name is.

We tried to rule out the earth connection issues by adding a direct cable from the battery 0 to the engine without success.

Symes, did you mean the flywheel on the starter ring?

No turnover at all.
It cranks and starts on the first turn after cooling completely down.

Omega General Help / V6 won't crank when hot - ??

Hi Guys,

It's been a long time ... and yet again I'm here with a misterious issue :(
My x30xe automatic started not cranking in hot summer days first two years ago. When the car was running for 2-3 hours in hot sumnmer and I stopped it, it didn't crank a minute after. I had to wait for another 5-10-15 minutes and everything was ok. It was the same this summer. Then suddenly...

Last week it started doing this even in cold (5-10 celsius) weather. My mechanic replaced the starter motor to a renewed one, but the issue was kept!
It starts when cold okay. Starts when hot a bit slower but it still works unless I wait 2-5 minutes.... then it is dead for 1-2-3 hours. Not cranking at all.

We've checked the grounding, the ignition switch and the relays so far. Neither of them was it.
Have anyone ever seen similar to this?

Thanks.

Thank you for stopping by.

[...]
take the feed to the vaporiser from the single pipe into the HBV.  :y

You ment connecting it inline, right?  ( bridge -> vaporiser -> hbv )

You must be right. I found it better when Ecc set to heating. I also read some thread overnight, which said the best place for plumbing it is inline between the bridge and hbv.
If anyone could confirm, I'd try this way.
I don't want tees if it's not a must.

Thanks.

Omega General Help / Lpg reducer heating on a v6

Hi All,

It's been a long time...  And now I need your help again.
My V6 had a crackened water pipe behind the engine. My mechanic replaced all to new original pipes today, removed the T connectors and connected the vaporizer where the secondary water pump was. Secondary pump removed. It's like as the guys agreed here  http://www.vauxhallownersnetwork.co.uk/index.php?threads/anyone-have-a-cooling-system-diagram-for-the-v6.76911/

I think there must be wrong with it. Since then I feel sudden power loss and also smell lpg on hard acceleration. It feels better when the heating is on, but should be the same if the linked diagram would right.

Any words would be appreciated.

Cheers,

Peter

Omega General Help / Re: Faultcodes after heater matrix replaced

I have never seen the heater box, but I will try. Thanks anyway.

And what should I do with the buttons?

Omega General Help / Faultcodes after heater matrix replaced
« on: 20 October 2012, 10:39:45 »
Hi Guys,
I've done(not me personally :)) the heater matrix replaced this week. Before the operation I mesured 51C on the left and 43 on the right side. The values changed now to 75 and 78 at 19C outside temp and engine was idling. It's hot as hell!
The bad part of it that I got new stored error codes which keep coming back even if I delete them or press the auto+off calibration. These are:
- left blending flap motor low voltage
- floor blending flap motor low voltage
I also see the -- at power off as expected.

Another issue is the ECO button which worked okay before the operation, but stopped illuminating, however it operates normally. (switches the compressor on and off)
First I checked the bulb wich also worked okay when powered directly. Then replaced with my spare eco button. Nothing changed. Same issue with the seat heating button next to it.
Any advise on these? Thanks!!

How did you make sure your sensors are faulty or its location is causing the EML? According to my experience there are many other causes that can end up with EML. I have replaced 3 times the bank1 sensor on my x30xe with no succes before I finally found the vacuum leak that caused EML.

Omega General Help / Re: Elite estate suspension upgrade
« on: 05 September 2012, 15:41:26 »
Hi,

I'm glad to found this topic. This is exactly what I was looking for! My MV6 has been built from SL to normal, but it rides too low even though I have also replaced the springs. Could somebody tell how much does the bags cost? I can't find on the MAD suspension website and it also seems they don't sell outside of UK :(

There is a similar product sold here in Hungary, but in only one size and I can't decide wether it would be okay or not. It is 20cm high and the diameter is only 8cm. Seems too small, doesn't it?

As far as I remember I have checked all of these points a half year ago based on your very good guide and didn't find any shortage. I'll check again one by one.

Fuel trims:
  • Does anybody know what -+% percentage is covered by the 0-255 range of the trim? I hope it is lineary scaled at least:)
  • If I look at the actual O2 integrator actual value, let's say it is 135. Does this mean it is richer than the desired 127 (and will move the trim to below 127 in long term) or vice versa: it shows the actual trim, not the resulting enrichment?

Hi Kevin,

the stored code is: 13 -O2 sensor open circuit (Bank1)
The O2 sensors are working fine, never seen any trouble on petrol.

However the guy went for a short (3+3km) drive, he didn't understand when he asked about the fuel trims and I told him the O2 integrator actual and the block learn values. He was expecting the rich/lean value in %, but I still don't know how to translate e.g. 155 to by how many percentage it needs to be richer/leaner to stay around 127.

Luckily I have got the proper cable and software to look into the LPG ECUs settings, but what should I look for?

Thanks.

I'm pretty sure that mine is drilled into the inlet pipe somewhere around the middle of it. Not like this:
