....
I doubt the 2CV 600cc lump would actually move a modern car...

 Six hundred & two  ;)
Yup, it needs those extra 2 ;D

It is possible to squeeze the four cylinder engine from a GS into a 2CV. If you're crazy ;D

How about a 500 cubic inch V8, or would that be overkill? :)

If you get one from a Cadillac Eldorado you would retain the FWD, complete with the engine in front of the gearbox. Some bonnet mods would be necessary, and I doubt the hubs/brakes/suspension/'chassis' would last very ong. 500Nm torque at 2000rpm(that's the lowest number :y ) will break stuff without breaking a sweat.

not to mention the fact it would be insanely suicidal

Is that a euphemism for fun (in a deranged sort of way)? :D

i think it might be lol

nowt wrong with Woolwich...Stanhope and kingsnorth on the other hand.....I would take my chances with Woolwich every time  :y

I agree, nothing wrong with Woolwich; just a nightmare drive if you have to drive in across South East London :D :D ;)

Nothing wrong with Woolwich, I drive into it every day and park for free either the car perfectly safe and secure.
Better than Blackheath/Lewisham, trust me.

Ah, but you are already in SE London.  I mean if you have to drive into South London at 0730 or out at 1730 from Kent of other Home Counties.  But it was like that in the 1970's.  Regularly it would take me 90 minutes to get from Bromley to Deptford, let alone Bromley to Chelsea, or Kidbrooke. Then I moved out to Tonbridge, and made the journey worse.    Even a journey from Ashford to the Old Kent Road at 0730 in 2000-2003 could be 2 hours long.  :'( :'(

Is it really that good now in 2017; has the trend of heavier and heavier congestion been bucked?  If so that is very good news! :y :y :y

I do this everyday at the times you state and I fail to see how it takes anyone 2 hours if you know where you are going ?
