Hi,
I am having problems with the alarm on my R reg Omega.  It keeps going off for no reason. I have tried locking the car using just the key, clicking the remote lock once or twice but the alarm still sets and then activates some hours later ( my neighbours are most impressed at 4am!!) I have disconnected the sensors inside the car but the same is still happening. Any ideas please? I would be happy to just disable the alarm if thats what it takes.

Hi,

The revs on my Omega have been running high (just above 1000) at traffic lights for a few days and today the revs have started to drop, causing the car to stall. It's a 2L R reg CDR.

Any ideas please?

I had the same thing. Undid the bonnet sensor and had no probs since.

I have got an r reg CDX and the drivers heated seat has just stopped heating up. The light is coming on still. Any ideas please folks?

Omega General Help / How much should it cost???

From the info I have recieved from my question about my water laek, I am sure that my cylinder head gasket is gone. What sort of cost am I looking at so that I know im not being ripped off??
It's a 2L manual R reg 4 cylinder Omega.

Only filling the header tank up to the half way mark then when im driving the 'coolant level' warning displays on the computer. Temp gauge does not go up though!

Not so much missfiring but a little jerky. Sometimes continues whilst driving.

Sorry, my mistake. It's a 4 cylinder 16 valve. Not too hot on these things!!

Thanks for the quick replies. Im new to this and very impressed!!
There is no steam from exhaust, or mayo on dipstick, however, the bottom of the header tank looks a bit murky.

I have an R reg CDX manual that is loosing a lot of water (I have to fill it up after about 15 miles) but there are no signs of a leak or where the water is going!!
