Heloo guys, been off line for a long time! Work commitments blah blah!  ::)  Ok so viewed the Omega, salesman not really enthusiastic kind of guy, didnt know much about the car either.  Had a good look around the car and done all the checks you all mentioned, all ok.  The drivers electric seat was broken, the temp gauge was reading -4C (it wernt that cold!!! :o )  Also ash tray apparently kept opening.  I was alos as mentioned too put off by the price.  I was going to go for a second long but after reading all of your advice Im gonna look harder to find a better spec`d Omega.  Your right there are so many out there at much better prices and spec!!!!   :y :y

ps thanks for all who have given me advice and help!  It was a bummer I missed the meet at the Oakdene cafe, any more Kent meets?????   :)

Hi everyone..

So the day has come and im going to view an Omega 2.2 16v CD, 2003 (auto).  Its got 77,000 miles on the clock.  One thing which has caught my eye is its only got part service history.. :-/  Worrying??

I took a walk around the car the other day, bodywork is good, the odd scratch and one small trolly dent in the passengers door.  The colour is black so shows some other very minor scuffs..  The interior looks very good.. (could only see throught the windows, garage was closed   ::)

When I take it for a test frive what should I look out for?  I dont mind the odd rattle with the interior (I own a freelander!!!  ::) ::)  )  Im hoping the engine will purr the autobox will change gear with no hasty jumps and there should be some oomph when i put my foot down.

Sorry to be asking all these questions on a Monday morning!  But you guys are a helpful bunch!   :) :)

All depends on history ;)

lol your right mate.. im going to take a look this afternoon so will be grilling the salesman.  Is there anything in particular I should look for on the Omega that could cause issues in the near future?

Hiya Lozzy!

Any pic updates?  Ive been reading your thread with great interest!  I once had a Fiesta with 1 x 12" with 200w amp and 2 x 6x9s with 100w amp.  Very small compared to yours!!   ;D ;D ;D

Hi all,

Im I right in saying the Omega was once used for Royal protection and as a security services vehicle?

If so what model would have likely to have been used?

I really like the Omegas and just want an idea of their history..

Ta, Ollie
