just thought id say hello. im shaun live in hartlepool and drive an R- reg elite 3.0 car is great but had a few problems while owning it firstly overheating but was cured by new thermostat and now last night non starting but reading your forums and trying out the paper clip test i now pin pointed it down to the maf, unplug it it runs plug it in and it cuts out and wont start, being quoted £45 for the part so hopefully back on the road tommorrow. so thankyou for all the advice. :y

well update on my empty life without my beloved 6 pot elite. insurance is paying out now and i was originally looking at a r reg 2.5 cdx v6 but a lovely elite 3.0 just came up and hopefully will be getting it for the right price.
i left school and started an apprentship at dixon vauxhall in hull and passed my nvq so became qualified vx tech and the first time they let me loose in a elite i was hooked. KEEP YA PORSCHES ETC IM AN OMEGA OWNER AND IM-

LIVING THE DREAM!!

lol thanks for all the support about mib and all the advice of what roads to go down with my insurance, paid off.

it was a stolen car being pursued by the police, basically came round the corner of my street at 40 hit the curb opposite house and bounced into my back end pushing the whole rear end round so looks banana shaped. multichanger spued its guts all over the path

update now picking up a r reg 2.5 v6 cd tommorrow night so swap some bits off the elite. not the multichanger though that got crushed lol. thanks for the support lads goes to show even with all the insurance in the world theres always something that jumps up and bites ya, hard lesson learnt

hi peeps im only new posted topic earlier in week about my car having faulty maf etc got it all sorted and today had a un insured young driver clouted the rear end while my car was parked!!!!! unfortunately my elite was a right off so now im hunting for a new one.

point to note: IS YOUR F*****G CAR SAFE ANYWERE!!!!!
