First post - but I've been lurking for awhile
I have a December 2000 2.2CD automatic, done about 130k and is generally pretty tidy. (Picked it up at the weekend)
One issue I have noticed is that after about 5mins of driving the EML light comes on (bottom left of the dash, car with a spanner through it) - now, even with this light active I am getting no codes on the OBDII readers that I have... there was one stored code, (p1781) which has not reappeared since I cleared it.
The car tends to drive fine, has the occasional issue from cold, (rough idle and occasionally dies when cold) but I'm pretty confident that is down to the idle control. (I will be replacing pretty much every service item this weekend)
Lastly, I don't yet have a service manual - so if anyone can help me with the following I would be eternally grateful:
1) I assume the autobox has no dipstick, are they prone to loosing fluid? How much does the box hold?
2) Does anyone have the spec on the timing belt change?
3) Does anyone have a workshop manual for the 2000+ model car that I can buy, beg, borrow, steal, download?
