So i guess that listening for a rattly sound from the chain area is the thing to do?

Does anyone know the cambelt change interval for a 2.5TD (BMW engine i believe?) as i am looking at one at the moment and just wondered what the change interval was.

Hi Mark. Sorry to high jack your thead .

If your looking for the 2.5 diesel, whatever you do get one with a manual box or one thats had a upgrade to the AR35 auto box Wink

Why? what is wrong with the non AR35 box and how do you tell which box is fitted.

Hi, i'm Mark and some of you may know me as i run the Vauxhall Opel Drivers Club (VODC). I currently drive a Vauxhall Cavalier TD as my daily and have a Cavalier petrol that gets used for the shows.

I need an estate car now with all the stuff I carry about for the club etc so am looking to get an Omega Estate and have been looking at the 2.5TD ones.

Is there anything to watch with Omega's in general or with this engine? as I know very little about these cars.

I know this is most likely in the wrong section so appologies for that!

I look forward to looking around the site and joining in more in the future.
