General Car Chat / Re: So what have you done to your car today?

Put it on blocks, prepping to change fuel pump. Disappointed, no pump access plate for me. Down with the tank. 140,000 miles/225000km riding on vapors finally caught up.  :o  ::)
Howdya figure that :-\ lift the trunk carpet, right hand side halfway towards the seat :y about 8"diameter, secured by four screws...
I saw a post in this forum about that very issue. Went to the trunk, lifted the carpet, scraped sound deadener from the circular area and no screws. However, before I put the tank back there will be a access hole cut.  :y

For some strange reason, I was unable to register when I first found this forum. Never really gave it another thought until today. Wham, here I am! Weather is cold here. Yet I find myself changing timing belt, water pump, thermostat(failed closed, caused overheating), and drive belt. Future holds rear shocks, oil cooler r&r, tie rod ends. @114,000 miles still running strong. :-*

I agree with freecall666, you may have dislodged the cpu, memory blocks or some other chip or wire. Make sure that all connectors are properly seated. Also if you have an external monitor connect that to the laptop. This will help you in determining how minor or extensive the damage if any.  :o
