The garage its going to, is apparently one of the best round here,

But I've got access to a snap on diagnosis machine, And help from a ex-vauxhall technician ...So if they can't fix it this time, i'l have a look.  :)

Can you not do this in my thread please guys? I've got notifications on, And every time you post it lets me know, So i come and find all this..

Anyway, Just letting you lot know that its been booked into the garage and is going in Monday for the week, And there head technician is going to run it to see if it faults on him. Originally i was going to look at it, But work won't let me use a ramp and its too much hassle logging my tools home.

Cheers  :y

Just spoke to my dad, He said it originally started as a Mis-fire, So he took it into the garage where they fitted a new coil pack and Crank sensor...But after these were fitted the problem of starting etc arose.

Yeah i can see where your coming from with the crank sensor But... The crank sensor isn't a moving part, So its a case of working or not working?

Just about to look at the paper/pedal thing now.  :y

Omega General Help / MV6 Est - Running problems when hot.
« on: 03 January 2011, 18:32:01 »
The omega's having some running issues when it gets hot.

It'll start fine when its cold, First time. No problems what so ever.

But when it gets hot it will sometimes cut out, Or when you switch it off (Nipping into shop's etc) for the minimal amount of time, When you come out sometimes it won't start, Until it goes cold.

RAC have been called out numerous times, With nothing found, But the first two times they stuck some sort of tool onto the end of the spark plug and on the coil and cranked it, And it started but apparently the tool is just to check for a spark? And then more recently (New year eve) we were on the way to a friends (about 1hr away) but about 1/2 of the journey we stopped for fuel, but left the car running knowing that if it was turned off it wouldn't start, But for some reason the car died by itself, And wouldn't start, So we pushed it out the fuel station and parked it, to ring the RAC, They came and tried to get info via diagnosis machine, But couldn't connect up to the car. So he tried to start it...First crank it fired up. About 1.5hrs after dieing....So we decided to carry to visit our friends, We got there fine, But as we went to leave the car wouldn't start, But luckily we were in two cars so the other car towed us, down the motorway (Not strictly correct but we had no choice.) Whilst being towed my dad tried bumping it, And on the second time it started, So we pulled over and disconnected tow line, And drove back fine.

Its previously been into a garage recommended by the RAC bloke, They had the car for 2 days. Stopping and starting without fault.

This needs sorting ASAP, Have you lot had anything similar? Or know anything?

Omega General Help / Re: What suspension kit?
« on: 02 January 2011, 19:57:22 »
These springs?

http://www.balancemotorsport.co.uk/products.asp?recnumber=106965

And which dampers? Can't find these 'B4's' ?

http://www.balancemotorsport.co.uk/search.asp

I also found this kit, But from what I've read it won't fit due being different fittings from Saloon to Estate?  Can anyone clarify this?

And these springs, On ebay tho, Is there any reason you recommend BalanceMS? (Don't mean to sound like i know better then you just a genuine question)

Omega General Help / What suspension kit?
« on: 02 January 2011, 19:35:04 »
i posted a picture of my dads car on another forum and make a little competion to mod it, And one of the guys lowered it and gave it 'eyebrows' aswell as some LED day lights, And to be fair it lt looked pretty good,

So i was telling my dad and showed him the picture and he seemed to like it too, So i went on to ebay, And found a 'Apex lowering kit' 'Omega B eyebrows' and some 'Day time LED lights' (LINKS BELOW) Just wondering weather any of you guys recommend this lowering kit? Because at the price it is, I'll just get it at as an early Birthday present. And whilst your here what do you think of the other items?

Thanks, Omega Boy.

Just joined up, So Hello and Happy new year to all.

I myself don't own a car, (Due to only been 17) but my dad has had Vauxhall's forever, And Omegas being our joint favorite, Having at least 3 over the years i can remember, First two being Elites, One estate the other not, Then in 2009 he purchased a estate MV6. (Will post pictures later)

Anyway, I've joined up so we can take inspiration from you guys and see what mods we want to do. And to get help/advice on a couple of things.
