Got them from the parts section at the back of the shop in leicester. i just asked for basic LED's 12volt. the first ones he showed me were in a mounting case with two wires out the back but then he pulled out a set of draws with loads of the right ones in. Wanted white but the nearest he had were orange.. could have had Blue, Yellow, red or green and a couple of the colours are available in extra brite. They look just like the photo in the how to guide on here.

P.S. TheBoy is right about not all of them are push fit so best to check yours before you go and get some

No soldering needed chaps its a push fit. all you have to do is cut the LED wires to the same length as the bulb you take out then carefully push it home.
Did mine today. Could only get orange LED's though. Cost 43p from Maplins . you can buy 1 or as many as you need. they are availiable in other colours and in extra bright if you want.

Maybe i'm just lucky or something i'm doing is "Lucky" but i have NEVER had a single problem with copied CD's in all the cars i've had . Going back to the days when CDR's were very expensive 10-15 years ago. Used to work at Halfords as a Technical manager in charge of the I.C.E. department so i made all the Demo Cd's (never had any problems) apart from them being nicked by customers (and staff) Halfords never had a licence in them days so technically we couldnt play them 
Anyway my present car a facelift omega 2002 Had for 4 years now will play copies and original CD's without any errors or jumping/skipping issues what so ever.
I know there is a lazer focusing issue with some older cd players and like some of the experts on here will tell you this is what damages the lazer itself.
I always burn my cd's very slowly 2X or 4X max. I think this gives the lazer time to read the disc properly.

I dont mean to tred on the experts toes here. I'm just saying that cd copies have never been a problem for me.

Anyway, getting back to "ORO's" original problem of his car cd player struggling to play his CDR's. Try to record (BURN) them slower. Most cd burning software will let you adjust the burning speed before you start burning to disc. Even though most blank cd's you buy these days have a lable saying 52X, you should never burn audio discs at anyway near that speed. Try much slower (i'm talking 4X or even 2X) its takes a bit longer but you get better quality (because the lazer can find the tracks a lot easier) and you get less errors (coasters). I burn all my car cd's at 4X with no problems what so ever.

P.S. try a cd lens cleaner before you through all your existing cdr's away.

P.P.S. Dont use  CDRW's the format (the way the data is set down on the disc) is different so most of the older pre 2004 in car units will struggle with this type of disc.

just a note: dont asume you have the clutch switch because its a facelift. mine hasn't got the switch (2002). easy enough to get. some one on here is always breaking an omega. Think there about £20-£30 new

I want to fit a better sounding alarm to my Omega.
Can i fit a second alarm to the car without it being confused by the O. E. one already fitted.
The powersounder died on me a few years ago which left the pathetic sounding flat circular type, now that has decided to stay on all the time so i've took that off too.
I dont really want to put a replacement horn on . Is it possible to fit a louder siren type to the existing wires or can i just get another alarm and wire that in?

Evering thing else on the alarm is fine, ultrasonics, imobiliser, bonnet, door and boot switches. Even the indicators flash, its just the horn itself.

Any advice would be great thanks

Im not sure what the problem is but i get a slight dimming of lights when i turn anything on ,also when i pull off from stopped i get a quick flicker of the lights. If i increase the revs slightly it doesnt happen. Getting no warning lamps inside. Car seems to start ok first time every time (always has)although it seems to turn a bit slower (well it has been a bit nippy of late)
Just lately my central locking on the driver door is intermittent so i have to use the key to get in. Its a 2002 car and i cant find anything in the history about a replacement so i assume its the original from new.

Any advice?

My ash tray bulb has gone. how easy is it to replace?.
It looks as if i.ve got to remove the radio to get to it.
I know its probably simple but these tiny things are usually the most annoying.
