ive noticed that my front tyres are 215/55/r16 but the rear are 225/55/r16 would this cause my car to wander? also rears are bald on the inside

another problem ive got is every so often im getting an error code 0115 engine coolant sensor failed should i be worried

right changed idler arm, no difference to handling still wanders everywhere seems to be getting worse if anything. whilst i had the wheel off did notice that the inner side of the brake disc is really worn and also makes a whiring noise while driving.

right ive had time to get under the car and give everything a shake, drivers side wheel was tight no movement or play at all,wishbones seem fine too.

But the passengers side had alot of play from the part in the picture. would this cause all the wondering and vagueness in the steering? also is it cheap enough to replace?

*update* havnt had chance to give the car a good looking over as i work alot of hours, but i noticed on the way home im getting quite bad wheel wobble at around 50mph and the car seems to veer from one side to the other on straight roads. gets really bad in the wind!

cheers for all the help guys! think il get wishbones replaced and get a full geometry check/adjust. also ive been told on another forum about adjusting steering box?

got brand new shocks and coils on the rear, new front tyres 6mm tread on rear tyres. havnt had the tracking done yet and havnt checked wishbones there was no advisery on the mot so assumed theyed be ok

my omega doesnt feel right at the moment, like the steering is really vague and wandery on straight roads, replaced front drop links as they were banging over bumps and changed track rods as it failed mot on these. also when accelerating hard gear changes seem to throw the car around. any ideas? :-?

just changed steering idler arm, came off no problems but when istarted fitting the new one i couldn't do up the nut to the inner tie rod  it just keeps spinning the bolt aswell as the nut. will it be safe to drive as its done up a bit?

you wouldnt know the part number for the rubber covers would you? and would a motor factors sell them or is it a dealer only thing?

right changed gasket, o rings and spark plugs. cleaned the rubber breather pipes. couldn't get sump breather gasket so will clean that when i get gasket.
did notice one of the rubber spark plug covers on the dis pack was slightly split
any way car is revving alot better still idles a bit rough though.
gonna change coolant tommorow.

as above my 2.2 omega has been running rough for a week thought it was the egr so blanked that off but didnt help. so i checked the spark plugs and noticed they were all covered in oil expecialy plug 4, would this cause the car to run rough?
i assume the oil is coming through the rocker cover gasket or could this be something more serious?

oh i had the spanner light come up for a while too but has since stayed off  :-?
