im thinkin of upgrading the alternator reason being if i have the rear demister on as well as the headlights coupled with the heated seats my battery light on the dash comes on but very faintly(Only noticed it by chance). on second thoughts should i replace the battery instead?

hie guys just a quick one.... what are the implications of fitting a higher amp rated alternator? i mean like fitting a 120 amp alternator marked for a 2.5 v6 on a 2.2 CD which originally had a 70 amp unit

hie guys
my 2.2CD seems to be a pickle with electrics. apart from the c/l not working the interior lights dont work when you open the door or when you pull the light switch. the map lights work so do the puddle lights. also the rear ones work fine on the door and their switches. ive checked all fuses and the bulbs but cant get the lights to work. HELP please

what if i forgo the remote startand have just the alarm unit like Central Lock / Locking Kit Remote Keyless CLR60W-PLUS
item number 360205576261 do i still need to have the whole system fitted or is a ECU swap possible??

reason for question is my c/l does not work at all whether be it by key or remote. you have to lock/unlock each door individually. it does open the boot though.

 i am think of purchasing this item from fleabay Car Alarm Remote Engine Start central lock AL669W-RENG
item number  380227535132 for my Y reg 2.2 CD. Can i just swap the alarm ECU with this one or  i will need to change everything. many thanks
