I liked the old boy, and we wont see his like again. RIP.

I wonder if the Queen will stand down now......and possibly hand the crown straight to William, leaving out his old man.

I thought the same regards the Queeen standing down . . . but I doubt William will get to sit on the throne before his Dad .

R.I.P Prince Philip.

I only tried 2 sales on thier site.  Same item.  :-\

1st attept was a total conman.  New member, when sale ended he wanted the laptop delivering so he could earn the money to then pay me for it.  his 1st 4/5 rateings were all negative with carefully written complaints about him.

Re advertised the item, both myself and the buyer were 100% happy.

Put me off completely. :-X

Point being that any car batteries don't take abuse too kindly.

FTFY - Urban Dictionary

An abbreviation for either "opps that, opps you" or "fixed that for you. Guy 1: Hey dude, can I get your cookie? Guy 2: No, ftfy

Supplied, fitted and warranted by the AA themselves.

(I have heard a few things from the mobile teams that I cant print on here, but the one thing that did drop out in conversation made it seem they dont allways fit brand new batteries.) :-X

Wish, Aliexpress + others that I cant think of the name of.

After the agro and performance of Halforde today and still looking for a hard case for the booster I am buying.

Found an alternative on Wish, but dont know anyone that has ever dealt with them or similar companies.

To explain.

I started a thread in the Electrical section, as a NOCO GB50 was suggested to help out rather than me get banned from being an AA member. (Even though I have a 5 year warranty on a battery bought from them)(and they now offer unlimited call outs in stead of 5 over a 2 year period)

I decided to go for the bigger model GB70, plus a hard case (Online exlusive price) and a CTEK comfort charger kit (M6)

I have the NOCO hard wire kit coming tomorrow and whilst at it thought I might as well add the NOCO kit - gives 2 options, slow charge (CTEK) or jump start (NOCO)

You could order them for click and collect and get them all at the same time at the same store ::)

Car battery dead - hence the order  ::)

2nd & 3rd items not in stock even though the website says available.

The only reason to buy a battery from Halfords is for convenience: when you need one at 15:30 on a Sunday for example. If they can't manage that and a good price for planned purchases, then there are always better options.

Not now nor ever buying a battery from Halfords

Cant get my breath.

Went online to check for stock availabilty of for 3 items (200+)  A local store shows it has all 3 items (But 1 today - 1 in a week - last one a week later)(So not available in reality)(Free next day delivery on orders over 200)

Main item not available for home delivery, cheaper 2 items could be added for home delivery.

Phoned up today, Seems they have the main item in stock but cant be bothered to check if another store has them.  She couldnt be bothered to check (neither could I as I feel the website is so inacurate on stock levels)

I was offered the chance to pay now and collect in an hour (No point as I require all 3 items)

So I ask can I have delivery please. "Sorry Sir" We are not delivering at the moment due to Covid 19.  (Sure they have have an option on thier web page to turn that off)

Rant over
Your Faithfully.

Silly money.

But look at the Lotus Carlton market.  Few years years ago there were 2 cars that stood out in the market. 1 was a garage owner that had his in a car showroom from day 1 and just for show , when he put it up for sale it was slow to move as people wouldnt pay the money & the other was a 20K miles car.  The later was for sale for ages for 20,000.

Now if you want a Lotus Carlton a scabby abused one starts at 80K

Plus when I looke on Autotrader  last night I see all the Omega were twice the price they would have been a few years ago., saying that there were 3 low mielage cars shame they were basic models.

The Worlds going mad.
