Bodywork
« on: 01 March 2012, 13:29:09 »

I have just picked up my car after having some minor bodywork repairs and respray. I am more than impressed with the result done by a guy that really does it as a hobby, I can't RECOMMEND him enough. :y :y :y

I have just paid £120 for the following:-

Repair rust bleb below rear screen wash
Repair rust bleb below rear wiper arm
Repair small dent to tailgate (supermarket trolley >:()
Repair minor scratches to nearside rear bumper ( my wall ::))
Repair minor scratches to front nearside bumper ( my hedge ::))
Repair rust blebs to rear nearside arch
Repair rust blebs ro rear offside door arch
Repair small rust spot to front nearside wheel arch
Repair scratch on rear offside panel (supermarket trolley >:()
Respray all areas to a professional standard ( I can't tell it has been :y :y)

I am very impressed :y :y mind you it means that tomorrow is me and Auto Glym  :( ;D

As I said I cannot recommend Brian enough, my neighbour had bits done on his Mondeo first and he is also very happy :y :y

One question I do have is that in the process the black plastic strips on the rear door arches have been removed. To be honest I don't know whether to replace them or not, if I decide to can you still get them?

So if anyone needs bodywork repairs Brian is in Stapleford in Nottingham I have is phone number should anyone need it please PM me. He has a waiting list of about 3 weeks and takes his time to do a good jod but at the price and qualitiy of the work worth the wait and travel. :y

You can get them, but it takes some time as they have to come from Germany, I believe.

Cleggy , if you have newly painted areas on your car , dont touch (polish or paint protector) for some time even if it seems dry..

Yep paint will still be soft - leave it at least 2 weeks before polishing  :y
