Opel Omega 2,5 benzine. Code error 144, 145
« on: 02 March 2012, 19:25:27 »

Hi! I have few problems with my "little" Omega.
Is a benzine 2,5 manufacture date 1995.
I'm sure that more parts of the electrical was replaced. i have 2 keys: 1 to start the engine and another one to unlock the car(this could be the original key). Also from the drivers side i don't have a working lock (i look inside the door and the part what should lock the car is missing ) , so i lock the car from the passenger side, and is frustrating :(

problems:

1. error code 144 and 145. (also 12 and 31, but i know that is normal)
2. the remote from the key (for unlocking the car) is not working (can't open or lock the car with her).the red LED is working for both lock and unlock commands

Questions:

1. is any risk with the error code (for the car) or just i don't have a working immobilizer?
2. if i find from another car the door locks and the starting lock, what other component i should take from that car to be possible to use them on mine? and also will be nice if i can have a picture of the components, to know for what to look.

Thanks!

The 144/5 are safe to ignore.

Being a 1995 car, yours could have Infrared (IR) locking or Radio (RF) locking.  Do you know which yours is (IR has a black dome by sunroof switch).

Mechanical locks, you need the bits in the door handles, boot, ignition and glovebox.  If the mechanism is missing from door, obviously the missing part, be it the large metal mechanical part, or the motor, or both.

I have the black dome next to the roof lights.

The motor is present. The door is locking automated, when i lock from the passenger side.

What i should check to see why the remote is not working? Where i should look?

Thanx for the answer.

I am struggling to understand what you mean, so to clarify:

If you use the remote to lock, the drivers side does not lock?

If you use a key in passenger side to lock (UK cars don't have a key for passenger side), it does lock?

What if you attempt to lock from drivers door with a key?

Hi!
If i use the remote, nothing is happening, except the red LED from remote.

if i use a key in passenger side ,i lock all doors.

From driver side , nothing happens. Inside the door is missing the locking mechanism. If i push the locking button what is on the door, also the doors are locking.

For 2 days it started giving another problem. When i unlock the car (from passenger side - is the only working option) and open passenger door or a door from back, it start "blinking" (similar to the emergency lights) and hear a rely on passenger side, next to the door. I will open that area to see what is inside and if there are other modules.
I stop the lights (first time i was driving with them from work to home) if i start the car and lock the doors, otherwise they will continue.
