saloon/estate handbrake cable

will the handbrake cable off a saloon fit an estate??? Im pulling to bits my 2.5 elite saloon,before i send her to the scrap yard in the sky  :'( , and the cable has just snapped on my 2.5 cdx estate.i was wondering if i could just swap it over.....over to you guys

New cable is around 20 euros so no point to fit a used one. And, putting a used one in means youll be doing the job again in near future.

Estate and saloon should have same cables  ???
