« on: 24 October 2006, 23:15:51 »

From collecting my 2.5 CD from Miltom Keynes, then onto Sandy where I picked up my irmscher springs then back home.

Didnt drive hard..averaging 69.9mph and accoring to the trip computer mpg was 35

Just waiting for my torx star bits to arrive and then let the tinkering commence :)

Turns out the guy I bought it from bought it in Billericay..its back home in Essex ;D

Had a look through the service book and receipts when I got home. Last december the heater valve was replaced, new plug leads, new plugs, new pads, fresh brake fluid, new petrol filter and new belt done 20,000 ago but will probably put a new kit on when I get my 3.0 cams (fingers crossed I'll get some this weekend..payday friday and most of it gone already :-[)

No misfire and pulls hard so fingers crossed the heater valve was done before the coil pack got damp.

Cosmetically a few bits of paint need doing but apart from that looks like a truely looked after car.

80,000 miles and all mine for £1100 and a free pair of new front wishbones too.

Weather permitting tomorrow will see the irmscher springs and new shocks all round being fitted and I'll give it an oil and filter change.

I understand that if new front struts are fitted the camber needs setting again. Can anyone recommend a tyre fitters/garage in se essex that can be trusted to correctly set camber and 4 wheel tracking?

This one comes highly recommended by the experts on here. http://www.wheels-inmotion.co.uk/

They're based in Watford, but shouldn't be too far for you if you want the job done properly :y

Elite in Rainham, along the old A13 just before you get to Fords did a great job on mine, and theyre a lot closer than Watford

The front camber was in tollerances, but as i wasnt happy about the inside edge tyre wear they discussed it with me and adjusted it to a setting i wanted.

Think it was about £100 all in
