This thing is stuck to my centre console and i don't want to remove it until I know what it is I'm removing.

This is it with the cover on.

And with the cover off. what looks like two batteries?

No idea, but GM didn't fit it.

It doesn't tick does it or have wires sticking out or smell of marizipan?

I think it's a magnetic phone holder. Just found one similar on Google.

if it was a magnetic phone holder wouldnt the magnets play havoc with phone signal and other functions
