Not an oil thread but.....

I've just changed the oil and my mind started wandering to......

Why is oil black when it comes out of my car?

It goes in nice and brown - what causes the change?

If its black when it comes out on a petrol car, you are not changing frequently enough

Please sir I last changed it at 4000 miles - normally 3000 but I forgot - like my MOT  :-X

Sounds like you may want to consider a couple of short changes to clean it up...
