Insurance renewal
« on: 10 April 2012, 18:40:11 »

Just had my insurer ring me this evening, as mine is coming to an end this month.  Here we go, how much is it this year????

The renewal includes fully comp, replacement car, legal cover etc etc and no claims protection. £100 xcess as well!

The damage......£636.76.

Not too bad I thought, but told them I'd get back to them by Friday, with that they offer me £75 cashback  :o

Impressed, I said thank you, but would still call them back Friday. 2 secs later, would you take the cover if we gave you £120 cashback?  :o :o

Lets see, £636.76 - £120 = £516.76

In this current climate, I thought that's not bad for a 3.2 Elite with mods :)

Thank you very much, I'll take it. Job done :) :) :) :)

Now who is going to be the first to piss on my fire and upset me with a super mega low premium ::) ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Why couldn't they be straight and offer you the lowest premium in the first place?  >:(

P.S. I know the answer to my question  >:(

I had my renewal notice through while I was in Scotland, £198 and some pennies.
I went onto the comparison websites and the best I got for exactly the same level of insurance was £148 and pennies
