Bonnet release broken !
« on: 12 April 2012, 18:33:40 »

I have newly acquired 'T' plate 2.5 TD Estate - and the plastic bonnet release by the driver's foot well has been broken off - I need to put some oil in and therefore need access to the engine bay - I believe I can tug the wire with some pliers (from what I have read) with a friend pressing down gently on the bonnet to assist in the releasing the bonnet catch - however, I cannot find out how to remove the black plastic panel in the right hand side of the driver's well to get to the wire (I am assuming that's where it is) - any guidance anyone please ?

Many thanks

remove the black strip over the sill (one with Vauxhall logo on), revealing 4 torx screws. Remove 2 screws, and move front edge out of way, revealing another torx. Another torx near where handle should be. Plastic panel slides backwards, and out.
