Rear Springs/Shocks
« on: 18 April 2012, 15:56:27 »

Hi Guys,

Once again i need your help  ;)

The back end of my car looks high compared to the front but i mean noticably high ive had people say to me 'have you got uprated rear springs for towing'? i havent even got a rather towbar!!

Its not the high spec models :-\ so its not air compressed so thats definatly not the issue ill try to get a picture up and see what you guys think any ideas?

Faulty shocks? but shorly they will go lower not rather higher lol

Thanks :y

Couple of council paving slabs in the boot should fix it.  :y

saloon or estate? Have any parts been changed lately? First I'd guess wrong springs and/or shocks because these are different in saloon and estate.

I take it the car was always like that, since you've owned...?

Or was it at the correct ride hight once and rose up in your ownership?

Is it ex plod?

Does your Saloon sit higher than my Estate?:

Grayston coil assisters and Monroe Ride Levellers fitted to the rears.

With the caravan attached, it sits nicely, thus:

I'd suggest that you firstly check that there's no coil assisters fitted to the rear springs, as it'll be the coils themselves that determine the ride height, and not the shocks in your case. :y
