I'd like to flush out my braking system to see if it helps with slightly excessive pedal travel, and because the fluid is quite dark and looks very old too.

Is there any particular order that I should be doing it in!?
Normally I'd start at the wheel furthest from the brake servo, which is usually the n/s r, then do the o/s f.
Then I'd move on to the o/s r, finishing off at the n/s f.
Does the Omega have two separate, diagonally split 'circuits', or are they plumbed differently to the way I've been taught?

My Haynes isn't at hand, but there's two different methods on Haynes depending in age ....... up to MFL and after IIRC  :-\ :-\

I would invest in something like an easibleed as it makes this job much easier.

In addition, use a syringe, SWMBO's turkey baster or similar to try and drain as much fluid out of the reservoir as possible before starting, then fill the reservoir with fresh fluid and start bleeding. Just reduces the amount of fluid you need to bleed through. :y

Thank's for the replies...

To be honest I've had an 'ezi bleed' kit for years, I think that's where the info I posted above came from, either there or from a Haynes manual! Any way I dug out the kit today, well more like this evening it's been a very busy day, and it seems the plastic tubing has deteriorated so I ended up bleeding the brakes the old fashioned way.

The peddle now feels a little better but the brakes are nowhere near as good as on my other Omega which is an auto, I may try again once I've replaced the ezi bleed kit but I have feeling the brake servo may be a little weak on the manual car.
