My audio doesn't switch of!
« on: 08 June 2012, 07:32:26 »

Hi guys. About two mounts ago, for some reason my audio system (Bose) doesn't want to automaticly switch off when I pull out the keys out of lock. First it didn't work, then suddenly it started working as it should for about 2-3 days, then again stoped. Do you have any idea how to fix this?  :( Its really annoying when you have to always tap the button when you start engine, and again when you turn off the car. Not to mention that it happend to me a few times to left the radio on for a few ours, due to my old habit just to pull out the keys...

Same happens sometimes in my Combo:
Ignition switch is stuck somehow so radio gets still power,
the cylinder stays down , when you take key out it should pop up ...

If I am not wrong, if the cylinder is stuck your steering wheel won't lock?
If that is case mine is not stack...

Sometimes these units do that. Usually its intermittent.

If it does it all the time, pull it out for an hour or 2 (or disconnect battery (easier))...

Also, does it work better with no CD in top slot?

Well CD in top slot had some bugs, and one month ago it stopped working, it didn't want to read the disc, but until then it was working perfectly. But my problem with switching started before that(about one or 2 months ago)...

The routines might be hung up trying to read the disk, thus not getting to the soft power-off.
