I know in this day and age this sounds stupid......but until just a few years ago, not many, (twelve to be precise)...I had not been further north than Aylesbury (17 miles)
It was only when my kids married and moved to Brackley, that I became a globe trotter :y

To be honest, I used to go downwards....but never upwards ;)

downwards is always best....BUT not to far down...your feet will get wet.. :y
