Hi,

Daughter has a 2000 Corsa B. I've noticed that one side front is a good couple of inches lower than the other - so am assuming an issue with the suspension. I'm not surprised as I know it's on the original shocks & springs.

Ok, so how do I tell whether it's a spring or shock - other than anything obvious like a broken spring? Either way changing the shocks or springs should be done is pairs.

The shocks will not effect the ride height so that leaves you looking for a broken spring which is quite common on a corsa

Welcome to Corsas, changing springs is your new hobby! Fortunately back ones are a 10 minute job, fronts a bit more involved. I agree in an ideal world they should be changed as an axle pair. Also, if it is a broken spring on the front get it fixed asap because if it comes unseated it could puncture the tyre (only seen it once on a Corsa, they often just lose a coil and reseat themselves and nobody notices til MOT time)

I'd probably change both shocks and springs if they're origional fit TBH. It won't add any time to the job

Bit of an odd one this. Just got back from my mates garage - we had it up on the ramp and all is well.

Perhaps there was something about the way the car was parked up on a very slight sideways slope on gravel that could have done this. But there was a definate 2" difference between sides that simply isn't there any more
