don't know whether it has been raised before but why is it that they bl**dy torch is always followed by a BMW

could then not get a decent british car to follow it?

and can't they have a few britiash characters to walk with the torch - in my mind I keep seeing Rab C nesbitt with it, lighting a fag and sitting in the pub.

I think you will find that bmw are the official car of the UK olympics. Very sad. They could have at least used cars built in the UK, Astra's Nissans. or Honda's. At least some British workers could show some pride and interest. Yes I know the horrid mini is built here.

Big mistake in my opinion, I am also aware that uksport have bought alfa's

IIRC....have they not imported a load of flash BMW's to ferry the 'snots' around in also...I thought I read somewhere it was 40..I'll see if I can remember where :y

EDIT....   http://blogs.bettor.com/BMWs-ordered-for-Olympic-VIPs-London-Olympics-2012-a121400  Whether true I cannot say :y

Makes my 40 a bit out of place ;D ;D ;D ;D

I find this sort of thing fairly typical of Britain. Hardly any other country is less nationalistic than Britain. It would never enter the heads of most countries to NOt have their own stuff. In any case a CEO would have offered it. All most odd but explains why British supermarkets are full of other countries produce but not vice versa.
