More seriously, whilst an obvious asset to the otherwise imobile members of society (& I do not begrudge them the mobility that is gained), these machines are a real danger, the 'drivers' frequently showing complete disregard for pedestrian & vehicular traffic as if they had a 'God-given right' to charge about shopping centres, pedestrian areas, pavements and even highways!
I assume that there are no licensing controls, driver tests applied? :-?

Agreed.....ive lost count how many times ive had to swerve around one.......going the wrong way up a one way street or driving them on the road as they please!......they should i believe legally stick to the pavements.....(not quite sure on legalilty them being on the public highway.....but i thought any self propelled vehicle had to be licensed/insured/mot'd/etc)

Not quite sure on the legality of them being on the footpath, they are a self propelled vehicle.
