I thought it was common knowledge from their numerous previous opps-ups that G4S are a useless bunch of knuckle draggers. Did they expect anything less when rewarding them the contract?

Should have used our forces from day 1 and invested the £284M in avoiding the recently-announced redundancies.

Now that Kevin is an excellent idea. I can't think why the politicians did not think of that!!

No brown envelopes, retired failed politicians directorships and consultancy jobs or donations to the party if troops are used. 

If they used the £284m to stop the army redundancies then they would have to pay pensions at the end of service rather, than kicking them out with weeks to go so they don't get their pension until 65.  Much better to make sure ethnic, equality, gender awareness, diversity outreach workers and 5-veg a day officers on their £35 to £60k a year get their performance bonuses and full pensions, than the brave troops that have to work in bad dangerous conditions and put their lives on the line. Shame on this government of charlatans.
