Many common rail diesel engine designs do have issues with injectors.  Not sure specifically about the 1.3CDTi engine

I know that the variable vain turbo actuator can stick causing boost issues but seen some high miley ones still on original injectors

Odd that he's had and paid for the injectors to be replaced and is now selling it. I'd avoid that because if it's got fueling issues it may be the fuel pump. They're NOT cheap!
