i watched a car vid on youtube today and the guy was saying that he's seen a lot of cases where ATF hasn't ever been changed and that as soon as the new stuff is in the gearbox nackers and a replacement needed.

my cars on 93k and i doubt its ever been changed. i keep meaning to do it but i just want to check this first  :y

also as for the filling method of hooking a cuprinol sprayer to the level plug.... will some air get in to the transmission? if so is that a problem?

cheers  :y

ps, got my wynns lifter fluid... going in tomorrow with an oil and filter change  :y

Never had this problem in work and can't see it being a problem unless the fluid is so dirty that all the deposits on the bottom of the sump get loose and clog up the filter preventing the fluid from getting around the gearbox internals, seeing as you will have to remove the sumps on the Omega to do a change anyway this should not be a problem as you will be able to clean/replace the filter and clean both the sumps while your there.

Like the engine, if fluid servicing has been abused, the fresh stuff (or even the process of draining) can dislodge crud, which can block oilways.
