OMEGA COSTS
« on: 29 October 2006, 07:57:38 »

Was up early this morning still getting over the jet lag, decided to do some clearing out of old paperwork etc., came across all my VX bills from December 2004. Decided to add them up laugh I nearly cried £10,788.16 that does not include car tax, insurance or the MOT's.
2004; £6,926.65, that was for the kit, servicing, and other shiny bits and bobs inlcuding spraying and fitting, 1k of that was for the rims and tyres, which I shopped elsewhere for.
2005; £2,079.64, irmscher suspension etc and new ICE system.
2006 to date; £1,781.87, new tyres all round at kwik rip off, air con had to get fixed, and bushes and a couple of other bits needed. Oh and there is also the irmscher aluminium steering wheel still in the boot of the car, yet to be fitted (not included in the above costs).

I have spent more on the car than what it actualy cost 57% more to be exact. Hence the reason why I will probably never sell the car :'( ;D ;D

I'm not sure whether that is love, obsession or just lunacy!  ;)

Having spent that, I would not be selling the car.... ever!

I trust it is now how you want it?

NIce one!
i don't feel bad any more for what i have spent the past two years. Well i have spent 2500£ But thats purely DIY work and there is more coming, this month i will be changing droplinks and steering idler(70£) and after christmass i will be doing full service with 3lt cams and top end rebuilt which i have calculated to cost arround 500£(including 24 new lifters). So i would be spending 3000£ in 2 1/2 years. I do not regret it though coz i have really enjoyed the car and especially the handling that the new suspension has provided.

If you do sell it, I'll cough up £100 for it - just to help you out. :y
